Eleanor turned one month old this week, and we celebrated with a Labor Day cookout.\u00a0 Brian, Breanne, Sarah, Jay and Laura all came over with tons of food, and Jay cooked it all up.\u00a0 Yummy!\u00a0 We also had\u00a0some self portraits, and a bath.\u00a0\u00a0How about that for a\u00a0celebration!<\/p>\n

Grandma and Grandpa Littleton stopped by for a quick visit, Grandpa was in town for a golf tournament, which went well.\u00a0 As for the visit, he reported \u201cEleanor cried when I held her, I went to see Zapatita and she hissed at me.\u00a0 Amy was fine though\u201d.\u00a0 One for three isn\u2019t bad.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Eleanor had lots of fun this week on her playmat, kicking and swatting up a storm, and even giving Mom a few smiles.\u00a0 She also seems to love hanging out on her changing pad.\u00a0 Not sure why, but we do get lots of good smiles and dancing there.<\/p>\n

Cousins\u00a0Paula, Tom and Chris stopped in to meet Eleanor for the first time.\u00a0 Unfortunately, she was a bit fussy and needed the pacifier for the photos.\u00a0 The good news is that apparently 6 weeks of age is the peak of fussiness for most babies \u2013 and it is clear sailing from then on (until the terrible twos, that is).\u00a0 I\u2019ll let you know how that works out.<\/p>\n

Our biggest first this week was Aunt Lary\u2019s first time babysitting alone.\u00a0 Amy and I went to the Lions game (or Bears game, depending on who you ask) and Lary and Eleanor had a good five hours of bonding time.\u00a0 Highlights included lots of napping, two bottle feedings and one soiled changing pad cover.\u00a0 The game, you ask?\u00a0 Hmmm, I can\u2019t remember who won\u2026.but this one time, at a Lions Bears game in 2005,\u00a0I met this girl<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n
