The doctors tell us that newborns can’t smile until 6 weeks or so, and anything that looks like a smile prior to that is just gas. However, Amy believes that she has captured Eleanor’s first smile on video. I’m inclined to agree. I’ll let you decide for yourself.

Eleanor had a professional photo shoot on her second day in the hospital. Unfortunately, it happened before did her first bath, but the shots still came out pretty well.
Eleanor Gray joined us on 8/6/2010 at 5:42 PM, coming in at 6 pounds 6 ounces and 19 inches.
Amy and I video taped the entire conversion process from office to nursery. It’s a little long (about 18 minutes worth, plus another 12 minutes of “bonus” coverage at the end), but it makes me laugh.
